The Maltese Shih Tzu, also called the Mal-Shi, Malti zu, and also the Malt-Tzu, is a dog breed hybrid. one among the few “designer dogs” not originating with a poodle, and therefore not one of the ubiquitous “Poo” or “Doodle” hybrids, the adaptable Maltese Shih Tzu is a loveable, sweet very little guy with a long name. Created with a similar goal as the Doodles — to be a tiny low companion who doesn’t shed a lot of and is, therefore, a lot of applicable for people with allergies — the Maltese Shih Tzu is a classic cross, a sweet lap dog who likes to play with the children.
Originally bred to be fully nonshedding (which is a name since that is not physically possible), the Maltese succeeds to some extent, since he is a low-shedding companion. However, the Maltese Shih Tzu is much over that.
He’s intelligent and happy, creating him a breeze — and a pleasure — to coach. He will well as a medical care dog, and his wonderfully social nature makes him an excellent family pet. he is sensible with kids of all ages and with different dogs and pets.
This extrovert is gutsy and gregarious, and he loves people of any age bracket. The Maltese will be high-strung and snappy, but once crossed with the aloof Shih Tzu, you’ll be able to get a friendly and outgoing dog who’s smart with people. like all dog, this cross needs to be socialized as a puppy and as an adult.
He also has to be treated sort of a dog instead of like a baby or a stuffed animal who eats; that is why most dogs this size become very little tyrants. it isn’t their nature so much as that they are allowed to be brats. If you treat your Maltese Shih Tzu like a real dog, he’ll act sort of a real dog. create him walk, do not carry him everyplace, and he’ll have the great temperament he was meant to possess.
